WORLD RECORD
The massive garden trowel, dubbed “Plantoir,” was created by artists Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen and is located on the Meredith Corporation campus in Des Moines, Iowa. It is over 23 feet tall, weighs 2300 pounds, and holds the world record for the largest garden trowel sculpture.
Originally shown in 2002 on the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan, New York, was the biggest garden trowel ever made.
