WORLD RECORD

When Robert Wadlow, the tallest man in the world, was measured at an astounding 8 feet, 11.1 inches tall in 1940, he revolutionised our understanding of the human skeletal structure. He was 8.7 pounds when he was born in 1918, and because his pituitary gland hyperplasia was never addressed, he started growing quickly as a toddler. He required 8,000 calories per day to sustain his growth, which continued until the day of his death at age 22.
